Refunds and cancellations
Last updated 3 November 2026
Where refunds go
Every refund on Flexsetu goes back to your Flexsetu deposit, not to the card, bank account or UPI app you paid from. From the deposit you can use the money again or withdraw it, as described under Withdrawing from your deposit. The payment gateway's fee on a top-up is kept by the gateway and is not refunded.
Tasks: for publishers
- Refused at review. Nothing is charged. Money moves only when a task is listed.
- Slots not used. When you end a task early, take it off the market or reduce its slots, the reward and the platform fee for every unused slot go straight back to your deposit.
- An order cancelled. If an order is cancelled (the worker missed a deadline or a revision deadline, both of you agreed to cancel, our team decided, or a dispute was decided in your favour), its reward and fee go back to the task's pool and the slot opens again. If the task is no longer listed, they go back to your deposit.
- Work not reviewed in time. If you neither accept the work nor ask for changes before the review deadline you set, the work is accepted and paid. Review it in time, or open a dispute before the deadline.
- Local tasks. If nobody has been chosen one hour before the start, the task comes off the market and its money returns to your deposit. If a job is never checked in or completed, it is cancelled 24 hours after its time and the money returns.
Services: for buyers
- Before the provider accepts. You can withdraw an order at any time before it is accepted. If the provider declines it, or does not answer within 24 hours, the whole amount, platform fee included, goes back to your deposit.
- After the provider accepts. The order works like a task order: if it is cancelled, or a dispute is decided in your favour, the amount and the fee go back to your deposit.
Cancelling an order together
Either side can ask to cancel an order. The other side has 48 hours to agree or refuse. If they do not answer, or the two of you disagree, our team decides whether the order is cancelled or goes on.
Disputes
A publisher or buyer who does not accept the work can open a dispute before the review deadline. Both sides then have 48 hours to add evidence. Someone on our team looks at it and decides once, in one of two ways: the work is accepted and paid, or the order is cancelled and the money returned as above. Nothing about a dispute is decided automatically.
Withdrawing from your deposit
- Each top-up can be withdrawn 7 days after it arrived.
- The smallest withdrawal is ₹100, and a fee of 1% is taken from it (see Fees).
- Money is paid only to a verified bank account or UPI ID in your verified name. If a payout fails, the whole amount, fee included, comes back to your deposit.
Earnings: for workers and providers
Once your work is accepted, its reward is held for 24 hours and then becomes yours to withdraw, free of charge, to your verified bank account or UPI ID. The hold can be extended while a payment problem, a safety report or a legal requirement is looked into.
